Greetings! I am Juan Alberto, one of your hosts here at Estancia Niña Paula, where hospitality is our passion. Our family will do everything possible to ensure that you have a lovely and memorable stay.
The lodge has ten rooms, all with private bathrooms and hot water. We provide towels and the best quality linens for your convenience, and our comfortable beds will ensure you a restful night’s sleep. The rooms do not have TV or phone but we do offer Wi-Fi, although we hope you are able to completely disconnect during your stay!
We are open all year long. With wooden stoves and thick wool carpets in every room, we are well equipped to accommodate you if you visit us in winter.
The rooms look out on a gallery with a beautiful garden, which is the perfect place to enjoy sunsets while reading a book and drinking “mate”. The gallery and garden are also a great place for all our guests to mingle.
In our big “sala de estar” you can watch TV or simply relax and help yourself to drinks and snacks from our bar, which is always open. We have a well-stocked library where you can read quietly, and you can have breakfast and lunch on our terrace, which overlooks a lovely creek.
We have bikes available for your use, and our gentle horses Rubi and Colo are at your service if you prefer to explore on horseback.

Beba, my mother in law, will delight you with scrumptious homemade dishes like lamb or deer ragout, local trout, pork with a variety of delicious sauces, chicken creole casserole, steak with mushrooms and Malbec sauce and many others. (You will quickly understand why I love my mother in law so much!)
María Lucrecia, my wife, is our extraordinary pastry chef. (I apologize in advance for any potential weight gain!) Her specialities include dulce de leche cakes with nuts and chocolate sauce, lemon pie, fruitcakes, strawberry crepes and many varieties of jams.
Clarita, our eleven-year old daughter, is the perfect host for your children and an expert local guide if you’re interested in a family hike in the mountains.
Our ancient cypress, willow and molle trees beckon you to take respite in their shade by the creek. We have created a small beach area near the lodge, and you can also swim in the creek’s natural stone pools. Each pool has a distinct name: “La Traicionera” (10min walk from the house), “La Cuchilla” (20min) or “El Remanso Escondido” (30min). The height (1400m above sea level) and proximity of the mountains create a microclimate at Niña Paula, with low humidity and large fluctuations in temperature: 15° to 30° Celsius (60° to 85° Fahrenheit) in summer; 8° to 20° Celsius (45° to 70° Fahrenheit) in spring and autumn, and -5° to 20° Celsius (20° to 70° Fahrenheit) in winter, with some snow here and there.
After an active day hiking in the mountains, there’s nothing like a relaxing dinner back at the lodge and perhaps a game of cards, Pictionary or a table football tournament.
If you wish to explore more of the surrounding Traslasierra Valley, we can organize tours around your schedule and preferences.
